Despite its somewhat odd name,
Superbudget Kids: Silly Songs is a surprisingly strong collection of singalong songs that doesn't forsake quality for quantity. The kids that sing on the album don't sound overly sweet or overly amateurish -- they sound like children with some vocal training, but the emphasis is on their young, fresh voices and not on trying to make them sound perfect. The 30 songs on the album include a sizeable number of classic singalongs, including "Apples and Bananas," "Boom, Boom, Ain't It Great to Be Crazy?," "Baby Bumblebee," and "Hickory Dickory Dock." With so many songs, it's possible that kids' attention spans may be shorter than the album, but as the title implies,
Superbudget Kids: Silly Songs does offer a lot of bang for the buck. ~ Heather Phares
