The Gaither organization here gathers elements of the Billy Graham Crusades, including Ricky Skaggs, Doug Oldham, and Ray Boltz in a solid collection of uplifting worship music. This album isn't for the faint-hearted, however--the Gaithers' modus operandi isn't exactly subtle, consisting of full-on choir and band, and full-throated singers, who tend to bludgeon the listener into submission.
This is, then, music for the already converted, who will find much to appreciate here, including old faithfuls such as "Standing in the Need of Prayer," "How Great Thou Art," and "His Eye Is on the Sparrow." If the overall intention behind this set was to reassure and to comfort, the Gaithers' specialty, it succeeds admirably.
