As a veteran of Montreal's experimental scene, where he collaborated with artists like Thee Silver Mt. Zion Memorial Orchestra, Jason Sharp presents his debut solo record. Taking its title from Robert Creeley's poem "The Heart," the instrumental album sets itself firmly within avant-garde traditions whilst retaining an accessible melodic thread. The collection was recorded by Thierry Amar (Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Thee Silver Mt. Zion, Vic Chesnutt), and the resulting work takes on both electronic and acoustic instruments and minimalist and maximalist themes.
