Playful with their material (and each other),
Elizeth Cardoso and
Cyro Monteiro make a great team on
A Bossa Eterna de Elizeth e Cyro. They certainly tackle a wide range of material and moods, including three "Pout-Pourri" tracks that encompass a dizzying array of songs (most of them allowing for maximum interplay between the kittenish
Cardoso and the faux-stern
Monteiro. Their conjunto harks back to the loungey dance bands of the '50s, but occasionally exchanges a slightly modern-sounding organ for the accordion.
