Graeme Revell, the go-to guy for apocalyptic soundscapes (Sin City, The Crow, The Chronicles of Riddick), takes on the big-screen adaptation of the popular MTV animated series Aeon Flux.
Revell aims to conjure an icy blend of technological marvel and early-20th century quaintness, a feat that is almost achieved by his subtle juggling of loops and organic piano. It's an unobtrusive score that never develops into anything memorable, pulsing beneath the lithe steps of Charlize Theron's heroine like the soundtrack to a late-'90s video game. ~ James Christopher Monger
