This is the first solo CD of
Corciolli released by his own record label Azul Records. The composer joined the most different sound characteristics: acoustic and electric piano, sequencers, drum machine, analog timbres, acoustic guitar, and bass, among others. Even without long solos,
Corciolli developed an innovative sonorous language (of course, the references are present, mainly
Vangelis), showing arrangements full of sonorities and textures. Very concentrated on the minor details, he played several keyboards and synthesizers and spent almost a year recording a meticulous work, incorporating timbre by timbre, until reaching the desired result, which is full of nuances of rare sensibility. In the recording sessions, Michel Freidenson played flute samplers in the track "Two Seeds." Fábio Marão on bass and Paulinho Campos on acoustic guitar enrich the dynamic of the track "Far." "Cantareira" (with nice acoustic piano), "The Last Day of Every Year," and "The Pearl" were the highlights of this album, a must-have if you want to start to know more about Brazilian new age music. ~ Cesar Lanzarini
