For their fourth studio album, 2012's
Blitzkreuz, German metalcore band
Callejon switched from Nuclear Blast to Four Music/Sony, which may be why the record sounds somewhat cleaner than its predecessors -- not only in terms of sound quality (the record was mixed by metal veteran
Colin Richardson), but also lyrically. Still, the album doesn't stray too far from the formula presented on the group's previous album, 2010's
Videodrom -- the most noticeable change is the fact that there are fewer electronic flourishes than before. The track "Porn from Spain 2" was recorded with guests
Mille Petrozza (
Kreator),
Sebastian Madsen (
Madsen), and
K.I.Z. Blitzkreuz entered the German charts at number nine and is also available as a limited deluxe edition with a bonus DVD.
