Blending the smooth sounds of contemporary reggae with the metallic hardcore of the late-'80s underground, Process has received comparisons to
Bad Brains for a reason. But much like their heroes, they also have a passionate sound that reflects the genuine joy they get from reggae. Process also seems quite high on adding raps to their sound, a new twist on the old formula that doesn't always add up. Potent anthems like "Run Them Down" are excellent examples of where this cross-genre sound can work, while the silly raps found on songs like "Mist of Time" are examples of how flawed this scenario can become. Still, the former is much more present than the latter, making
Blood + Bones a good place to get your punk/reggae thrills. ~ Bradley Torreano
