A stumbling attempt at East Coast gangsta rap with a hardcore attitude,
Bonafide Portrait of a Hustler never gets even moderately impressive, except for the fact that
D-Don produced as well as rapped almost the entire album. Despite his remarkable work ethic, the rapper unfortunately stumbles through his attempt at smooth lyrical flow, interesting lyrical topics, and solid beats; in fact, everything seems shoddy. The guest appearances by
Redman and Noreaga may interest some. ~ Jason Birchmeier
