Darkness Falls is
Brian Tyler's most effective and original horror score to date. A fiercely modern effort that stretches its orchestral makeup to fascinating sonic extremes, its relentless ferocity is undeniably exciting.
Robert Elhai's dark, sleek arrangements do an excellent job of fleshing out the idiosyncrasies in
Tyler's approach. Each instrument seems at war with the others, shrieking and bleating at maximum volume for supremacy in the mix. Moreover, each theme seems faster and more aggressive than the last.
Darkness Falls operates on pure, uncut adrenaline, and even sans cinematic visuals, it's a fearsome thing indeed. ~ Jason Ankeny
