Released over a year after his second proper album,
DC4 extends the Dream Chasers mixtape series with
Meek Mill in combative form. Issued after feuds with several rappers, including
Drake, this act of damage control doesn't directly reference any of
Meek's adversarial contemporaries. He nonetheless approaches most of the tracks while on the offensive, as he's caught between the streets and stardom, gloating about driving with the top down despite "a price on my head." There are over a dozen guest spots, topped by appearances from
Young Thug and
Quavo.
Meek also re-teams with fellow
Drake rival
Tory Lanez. This throws some blows that connect with full strength. ~ Andy Kellman
