While the disc starts with a burst of bright power-pop, the fun "This Town Needs a Fire," it gets bogged down in an identity crisis. Sure, the attempt at diversity is commendable, but the proto-rap-rock on tunes like "The Old School and the New" is not only disjointed, but rather poorly executed. A rather disappointing effort.
