The first recording by Swedish a cappella quintet
the Real Group finds them quickly hitting their stride. Eight of the 13 selections are jazz standards; the band clearly has fun on the early rock & roll of "Who Put the Bomp," and there are four obscurities and group originals. The sound of the singers (three males and two females) is very appealing, and they swing their way through very likable renditions of such numbers as "All of Me," "Joy Spring," "Blues for Alice" and "As Time Goes By."
