the Temptations,
the Four Tops), but their fiery live performances and vibrant dance moves made them a local favorite, especially at Detroit's famous 20 Grand. This 18-song collection captures the group backed not only by members of Detroit's infamous
Funk Brothers posse, but also Memphis' Hi Rhythm Section. The group's biggest hits are here, including the fan favorite "Detroit Michigan," "This I Pray," "Love of My Life," and "Why Are You Blowing My Mind." For casual soul fans the recording quality may prove to be a bit abrasive, especially in comparison to the smooth, clean remasters coming from the Motown vaults.
