This ten-track
Delfonics compilation starts with "Didn't I (Blow Your Mind This Time)" (December 1969) and ends with their last Philly Groove release, the woefully sad but beautiful "Lying to Myself" (April 1974). In a change from past best-of sets, it bypasses earlier hits such as "La-La (Means I Love You)" (a welcome change for those who are tired of hearing those constantly played sides or who already have them), while giving a chronological (though incomplete) overview of the maturing Philly trio's later, more soulful recordings, including "I Told You So," "Think It Over," and "Lying to Myself." The glaring omissions from this period are "Over and Over," "Walk Right Up to the Sun," "When You Get Right Down to It," and "I Gave to You" -- a prime B-side.
