Franziska may only be 19 years old, but 2012's
Die Liebe Ist ein Niemandsland is already her fifth solo album -- and her first solo effort from 2006 (where she was billed as "Franzie"), when she was 13, wasn't even her first foray into the music business, as she had been singing with her father in the duo Franziska & Wolfgang, which released two albums in 2004.
Die Liebe Ist ein Niemandsland offers 12 songs of modern schlager pop with uptempo dance beats (with a few exceptions, as on "Alles Liegt an Dir"), usually revolving around love and romance. The album, which charted at number 39 in Germany, is also available as a "limited fan edition" with a second CD containing nine alternate versions of the main album tracks. ~ Christian Genzel
