The blistering, soaring tenor
Pressha unleashes on "Intro" is a mirage; the next four tracks will have you looking for another CD to play. It doesn't pick up until "Splackaveille," an easily felt up-tempo, hip-hop number with boastful lyrics. "Do Boy" may be thrift-shop
R. Kelly but the imitation stands out among these weak jams.
Pressha wavers between emulating
R. Kelly or
Keith Sweat. "Shawty"'s a quality beat ballad and "Shake It Down" is just that, something for the dancefloor. But tracks like "Let Me Go," "Make You Dance," "No Way to Win," and others need more work and something that resembles a hook. The title track is an OK hip-hop but hardly a smash, which is true for the entire CD. ~ Andrew Hamilton
