As its title implies, this collection of sketches by broadcaster and satirist Harry Shearer is a hilarious and irreverent skewering of the trials, tribulations, and pretentions of broadcast news anchors, including Ted Koppel, Barbara Walters, and Dan Rather. In song, Walters denies she's had 82 facelifts (she's happy with 54), Rather is glimpsed in conversation with Mike Wallace and the shades of Charles Kuralt and Harry Reasoner on the weighty subject of his retirement, and Koppel suffers an uncomfortable face-to-face interview with his boss, Mickey Mouse. Meanwhile, Tom Brokaw's SONGS IN THE KEY OF L is unfortunately a mere figment of Shearer's fertile imagination.
