Einsame Spitze was the first album
Gerhard Gundermann recorded with a full-scale rock band and which made him known as one of the most original and creative songwriters in Germany. Whereas the creativity of many other East German acts plainly imploded after the political changes of 1989, the exact opposite happened to
Gundermann.
Einsame Spitze thrives in the combination of witty lyrics with inventive folk-rock, and the scale ranges from cheeky mockeries on German politicians ("Terminator I" and "Terminator II (RAF-Mix)") to one of
Gundermann's most beautiful ballads "Kann Mich Nicht Eerinnern."
