Between 1979 and 1985, Spanish kids' band Parchís, named after the color-coded board game, were a commercial phenomenon that translated into a string of LPs, musical shows, and movies. The concept was refloated in 2011, with a new lineup formed by 12- and 13-year-olds Miriam (yellow), Manu (red), Andrea (green), and Gabi (blue), as well as nine-year-old David (white). The new Parchís started touring Spain with a new show, El Mundo Mágico de Parchís, and released this corresponding CD in 2012. The disc includes contemporary-sounding versions of Parchís classics such as "El Twist de Mi Colegio" and "Cumpleaños Feliz," as well as some new songs.
