A criminally underrated British alternative-pop ensemble, the Chesterfields issued numerous highly melodic releases in the late 1980s, but never found a sizeable audience. This excellent compilation gives the group fitting posthumous recognition by presenting many of their finest tunes, including the buoyant "Shame About the Rain," the bouncy "Complete & Utterly," and the remarkably catchy, XTC-like "Fool Is a Man."
