Chile's Andres Landon got his start as a whiz-kid producer, scoring a Latin Grammy in 2012 for his work on Carla Morrison’s Déjenme Llorar. On his third album as a solo artist, he brings that inventive studio craft to the quirky mix-and-match dance tracks. Landon builds minimalist slow jams (“Dios No Existe”) and wonky club anthems (“Igual a Ti”) from lonesome Latin jazz horns, buzzing trap bass, tricky Afrobeats rhythms, disco guitars, and whatever else catches his ear. But his real magic is turning these unlikely global hybrids into seamless electro-pop gems.
