One of the first B-sides attached to a
Pearl Jam single, "Dirty Frank" was written and recorded during their tour with
the Red Hot Chili Peppers. This is reflected in the music, which is much looser and funkier than the material found on their first album. Although a little overlong, this signaled the direction they were heading in, and is important to fans for that reason. The single itself is pretty good, featuring the classic "Even Flow" and a "remix" (i.e. they added more drums) of the beautiful "Oceans." Fans of the band as well as those drawn in by the title track will probably enjoy.
