Black to Comm is helmed by Marc Richter, head of the Dekorder label (on which Black to Comm’s albums are released). Like much of the music released on Dekorder, Black to Comm makes experimental music that draws on both traditional instrumentation and electronics. FRACTAL HAIR GEOMETRY follows Dekorder unconventional conventions by turning in an album that is totally engrossing and disorienting at once. Drums, violin, trumpet, and Farfisa organ are among the instruments, but there’s little that’s recognizable in these dense, woozy drones. This disc comes recommended to fans of mind-altering experimental noise.
