Nerve Agent has crafted an interesting recording, if nothing else. This truly is a feel-good recording -- some parts are better than others, but the highlights certainly make this recording. When
Nerve Agent gets away from the throbbing pulse beat and focuses more on the harmonic material and compositional aspects of their piece, they truly do work sonic magic; however, when the minimalist beat is bumping in the background, as a sort of rhythmic foundation for the rest of the piece to sit on, it's hit or miss, and unfortunately often a miss compositionally. Nerve Agent has crafted a neat and fun recording that explores familiar electronic material, but in a new and slightly fresher way, allowing the listener to have a balance between energetic electronics and sequencer-rich rhythmic structures.
