Ultimately appropriate for the Four Freshmen, GRADUATION DAY harks back to traditional days of ivy walls, sophomore proms and campus glee clubs. The Freshmen began their career in the late 1940's as a college barbershop-style vocal group, and long after their first burst of fame, was the campus dance an integral part of their concert circuit. Their very name implies this and naturally the freshmen were favorites among the student bodies throughout the 1950's.
