The subtitle to Pasión Vega's Grandes Éxitos is "Una Década de Canciones" (A Decade of Songs), which is just another way of saying that this compilation covers the very successful albums she has been cutting for Sony since 2001, when the singer branched out into pop, fado, bolero, and ballads, as opposed to her early work for La Voz del Sur, which tended to focus on the traditional copla repertoire. Grandes Éxitos includes 17 of Vega's better-known performances, such as "La Reina del 'Pay-Pay'," "Flaca de Amor," "María Se Bebe las Calles," and Joan Manuel Serrat's "Lucía."
