For a few years Mark Deller was a member of the vocal ensemble of his father Alfred, a legendary countertenor. When the latter died in 1979, Mark continued the paternal work, animating his own "consort" which has since traveled the world. Keeping forging the furrow of ancient music, he is at the origin of a very abundant discography which perpetuates this style "Deller" so natural, so expressive in its subtle sobriety. The Provencal village of Lacoste was in the time of Alfred Deller the focal point of all artists eager to understand the vocal and instrumental world of "baroque" music.
