Polished and serious,
Happily Ever After does a great job of showcasing the band's talents: Toby Costa's raspy yet strong vocals, M.J. Law's pounding drumbeats, Mike Hoover's aggressive riffs and Kevin Leggieri's dynamic bass grooves. Yet the album feels a little too comfortable -- the band sounds slightly restrained, especially compared to their live performances. Still, it's a worthy debut, with standouts like "Haunt," "It's Not Funny," "Atypical Day" and the single "Fearless." ~ Gina Boldman
