The vocal foursome FFH debuted in 1998 with their project
I Want to Be Like You. Building on the musical foundation of this and their 2000 album,
Found a Place, Have I Ever Told You combines strong vocal harmonies with upbeat and rhythmic pop/adult contemporary arrangements. A 2001 Essential Records release, the project marks another chapter in the lives of members Jeromy and
Jennifer Deibler,
Brian Smith, and Steve Croyle. In listening to Have I Ever Told You, it may be difficult to discern what sets this release apart from previous FFH efforts. However, while it may sound very similar to its predecessors, the project offers a finer-tuned musical style, tighter harmonies, and intriguing subject matter. Notable songs include the title track, which was inspired by a conversation Jeromy Deibler had with his father regarding his parents' divorce, and "On My Cross," a beautifully written song of gratitude for the sacrifice made at Calvary. ~ Ashleigh Kittle
