Produced by
Barry White,
He's All I've Got is one of the trio's most consistent albums. The urgent, telegraphing, guitar-laced sound of the LP's sole charting single, "I Did It for Love," is a stylistic nod to "You Keep Me Hangin' On." Even more of White's Motown influences come to the forefront on the lively "He's Mine (No You Can't Have Him," which recalls
the Supremes with its steady '60s pop marching beat. The
He's All I've Got LP is a perfect companion to the group's excellent
In Heat album. Two of its tracks, the heart-tugging, string-covered slow jam "I Guess I'm Just Another Girl in Love" and the cooing ballad "He's All I've Got," are on 1997's
Best of Love Unlimited.
