With its 2007 debut on the Rykodisc label, Lodger presents a set of moody, guitar-driven rock. Led by deep-voiced frontman Teemu Merila, the group, like fellow Finnish act H.I.M., are admittedly obsessed with love and death (see the deceptively jaunty "I Love Death"), but whereas that band takes a metal approach, Lodger opts for a suave, bass-heavy post-punk sound.
