Mondo in un Secondo is the sophomore effort by Alessandra Amoroso, the Amici di Maria de Filippi talent show winner whose debut album, Senza Nuvole, became one of 2009's biggest sellers in Italy. A year later, Un Secondo is bound to repeat the feat, with another collection of melodic pop and romantic ballads commonly associated with mainstream Italian female singers such as Laura Pausini or Irene Grandi -- two acts who, not coincidentally, are among the album's main producer Dado Parisini's many credits. A variety of songwriters collaborate, chief among them the team of Federica Camba and Daniele Coro, who were instrumental to the success of Amoroso's first album, as well as Saverio Grandi (Vasco Rossi, Laura Pausini, RAF), who is responsible for the first single "La Mia Storia con Te." Amoroso also sings the last two numbers in English (one of those produced by Chico Bennet, of Madonna, Destiny's Child, and Kate Perry fame), hinting at an international career in the future.
