Producer and performer
Christopher Peacock presents his latest album, a collection of original compositions for solo piano, interwoven with subtle, island-inspired nature sounds. The island theme is perpetuated by the sounds of soothing waves, seagulls, rain, crickets, doves, loons, eagles and the orca whale. These sounds take on the aspects of another instrument, seemlessly adding their part to the overall soundscape.
Peacock has composed seven melodies rich in texture, yet simple in purity.
Vangelis' celebrated "Hymne" is also included, and
Peacock's interpretation is an improvement on the classic original, with its church bell tolling in the distance, further entices us to his sonic sanctuary. ~ MusD
