Jingle Bells by The Countdown Kids - Uhune

This collection from the Madacy label features the persistently cheerful Countdown Kids caroling their way through 12 Christmas-themed tunes. Besides a straightforward reading of the title track, the Kids tackle "We Three Kings" and turn in a jaunty pop vocal version of "Winter Wonderland." The set is filled out with happy-go-lucky material like "Suzy Snowflake" and "Jingle, Jingle, Jingle," which is festive, if not particularly memorable. Best is "I Saw Three Ships Come Sailing In," which features a duet between boy and girl cherubs, as well as a chorus -- perfect for performances in the round -- that will work wonders at your next Christmas tree-lighting party. Jingle Bells isn't going to rewrite the manual for holiday music. But if you can't yet reach the top of the tree, it'll likely be a pleasant Christmas-break diversion.
