Inácio Zatz is a creative artist who insists in working in his singular expression in times of rampant mass standardization. The album title proposes a tour through the world, preparing the listener for a listening experience full of cinematographic references. The tour begins with the samba "Deus Nasceu Foi no Brasil," where influences of
Ary Barroso's "Aquarela do Brasil," rhumba, and other Brazilian music icons of the '40s take the listener through a lighthearted vision of that country. "Gilda" is a four-to-the-bar swing with acoustic guitar solos inspired by
Django Reinhardt. "Bruxa e Fada" is a slide guitar blues. C&W influences make "Billy the Kid" a wonderful track. Italian mandolins and tarantella are reminiscent in the beautiful melody of "La Nave Va," and French chanson is the inspiration of "French Beguine," performed in a Latin rhythm. "She Got a Frozen Heart" is another swing tune, inspired by
Sting's retro recreations. "Mar Sem Fim" brings stylized Japanese influences, and "Beduínos Blues" has Afro-Latin roots in its arrangement. "Noite Branca" shines through its beautiful melody, and is finely interpreted by
Ná Ozzetti. A sensitive and sincere release that keeps pace with contemporary pop grooves while searching for personal, singular expression. ~ Alvaro Neder
