Leave Me Like This sports a relatively polished sound, when compared to
Spdfgh's
Grassroots. The band moves from its crunchier, hazier, and more lo-fi influences into more straight-out rock territory, with cleaner production and a more spacious mix to match. The resulting tracks are occasionally reminiscent of
the Breeders' campier end, which is a rather nice place to wind up. As a whole,
Leave Me Like This is a moderately good record, with the same solid indie appeal as
Grassroots.
