Life Is Often Brilliant is the debut solo effort from British rock guitarist and bass player Chris Catalyst. Combining many of the sonic traits that the musician has explored over the years with various acts including Ginger and the Wildhearts, Eureka Machines, and Mariachi El Bronx, the record is composed of fiery, overdriven guitar riffs, walloping percussion, and bright pop-infused chorus melodies. Recorded with longtime collaborator and producer Andy Hawkins (Eureka Machines, the Damned), the album features the tracks "Sticks and Stones" and "Same Old Sun." ~ Rob Wacey
