Yuck! Here's a group of guys who obviously started a band to get laid, and perhaps it's worked for them. They play Disney-style, "mall-ternative," teenybop punk-pop exclusively for young girls, one imagines. Hailing from the rock & roll capital of Covina, CA, an L.A. suburb that has spawned them and not much else,
Never Heard of It tours relentlessly and has self-produced three of its own albums. It boasts of all the ways it's figured out how to sell CDs on its own. It suggests Disneyland and the L.A. County Fair as "awesome markets for kids." Perhaps some kids that dig acts like
A New Found Glory and
Sum 41, bands who are
the Backstreet Boys of punk-pop, might dig these guys, but their music is actually much more generic than either of those bands or any other band you can think of.
