When guitarist George Lynch left the '90s Dokken reunion after three albums (ONE LIVE NIGHT, DYSFUNCTIONAL, and SHADOW LIFE), the remaining members, singer Don Dokken, bassist Jeff Pilson, and drummer Mick Brown, decided to find a replacement and carry on. That replacement came in the form of Reb Beach, a name familiar to many aficionados of '80s hair metal--he was a founding member of macho rockers Winger.
Beach proved to be more than capable of picking up the six-string slack created by Lynch's departure, as proven by the studio album ERASE THE SLATE and the in-concert set LIVE FROM THE SUN. Dokken's third live set of their career features both standards ("Kiss of Death," "Into the Fire," "Breaking the Chains," "In My Dreams") and newer material ("Maddest Hatter," "Too High to Fly").
