Columbia's
Greatest Hits is good sampling of
Louis Armstrong's most popular hits, capturing familiar versions of such staples as "A Theme from the Threepenny Opera (Mack the Knife)," "(What Did I Do to Be So) Black and Blue," "Ain't Misbehavin'," "Basin Street Blues," "All of Me," "West End Blues" and "Struttin' with Some Barbecue." Jazz purists won't be satisfied by this sampler, but for casual fans, it's good collection of some of
Armstrong's best-known material. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine
