Mega 3 Collection: Classic Christian Rock collects three volumes of the Light Years series together into one package. Offering one from
the Allies, one from
Bryan Duncan, and one from
Duncan's previous outfit,
the Sweet Comfort Band, this collection is one of the most amiable groupings of songs committed to record. The disc from
the Allies is the best thing here, offering strong doses of passionate pop/rock that display how strong the group was in its heyday.
Duncan doesn't fair as well, only offering some pleasing adult contemporary on his solo disc and some friendly soft rock on
the Sweet Comfort Band's disc. Neither of these albums are that spectacular, although they do offer an alternative to similar secular acts. Ultimately, however, this is one of the weaker entries in the
Mega 3 Collection series and is only really worth it for the very strong
