Awkward horn parts, funky beats, and hushed voices are all here, as
Girls Against Boys take you on a journey into their twisted side project. "Sexy Postcard" is drugged-out lounge music with a thin veil of early
U2 that is strange and creepy. On "Freak Now," the fuzz created by the guitar makes your skin crawl into a dark alley overtaken by bloodthirsty vampires. For all of the unorthodox sax playing on "Your Tongue (Remix)," it manages to complement the mid-tempo music. The horn even gets touches of electronic manipulation, which cause it to shriek like an elephant with sinus problems. By the end of it all, the band members welcome you to their dark psychological surroundings, as long as you conform to their ideas. ~ Stephen Howell
