Bonnie Pink has been pumping out J-pop bilingually for ten full albums. That hasn't dimmed her energy level whatsoever, as evidenced by the tracks contained herein. There's high energy and bounce in the tracks, which focus on simple, short, enjoyable bits of pop-ready fluff with light R&B-inspired dance vocals laid over the top. There are indeed a few surprises here, like a vaguely darkened "One Last Time" that hints toward
Chris Isaak's "Wicked Game" in the guitars, and a guitar track in "Himitsu" that could have been stolen from
Ric Ocasek. There's light balladry, pop, and dance, all held up by the pretty vocals from
Pink. It's nice and it's listenable. ~ Adam Greenberg
