Platinum & Gold Collection can be considered an ideal
Jefferson Starship anthology; this is a fact that goes beyond its existence as part of yet another budget-line series dedicated to repackaging a number of artists' most significant material. While its first eight songs each hit the pop singles chart in some capacity, the last four are album cuts. More importantly, "Find Your Way Back" -- a Top 40 pop single -- does not appear here. If you can overlook or even forget that glaring omission, the disc has some benefits, including remastered sound and several '70s radio staples ("Miracles," "Layin' It On the Line," "Jane," "Stranger").
