GRP's
Priceless Jazz is a mid-line collection that concentrates on recordings
the Brecker Brothers made for the label during the '90s. Since it features one specific era of their career and contains only 11 tracks, it could hardly be called definitive, but
Priceless Jazz nevertheless offers many of his best cuts for the label, including "Big Idea," "King of the Lobby," "And then She Wept," "Above and Below," "African Skies," "Harpoon" and "Sozhino (Alone)." This is designed with curious listeners in mind, and if they keep in mind this latter-day work by the duo, not
the Brothers' popular '70s works, they'll likely be satisfied by this enjoyable compilation. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine
