For those who've heard
Roni Size's award-winning New Forms LP, the sound of
London Elektricity will be a bit familiar. The duo uses the same double-bass and breakbeats popularized by Size, but considering they've been doing it since 1996, it's hardly a cash-in move.
Pull the Plug also ranges much farther than most jungle albums, including nods to Latin, soul, '60s soundtracks, and disco, among others. ~ John Bush
