Accordionist Vincent van Amsterdam (winner of Dutch Classical Talent Competition 2016) presents his new recording entitled "Red, Dark and Blue", a recital that is sure to amaze a large number of music lovers. With great musical storytelling ability Vincent demonstrates the tremendous sound richness of the accordion. Listeners can hear crimson red melodies in Johan Sebastian Bach's 5th French Suite, dark new harmonies in Sofia Gubaidulina's Sonata "Et expecto", and brilliant blue skies in the music of Vladyslav Solotarjov. The Ukranian composer Maxim Shalygin, who lives in the Netherlands, wrote the hypnotizing and demanding work Trembling Music especially for Vincent. The well-known Prelude, Fugue and Variation by César Franck, and several movements from Images of the Passing Time by Russian composer Anatoli Kusjakov complement this jam-packed album. © 7 Mountain Records
