The 13-song
Rehab finds Houston, TX-based
Rusted Shut at a crossroads. Released in 2004, nearly two decades after the band's beginnings in 1986, the album finds the band still rollicking for metal/hardcore fans near and far.
Don Walsh offers more head-scratching lyrics to go with the handbanging instrumentation. The first eight tracks on
Rehab were released on CD-R in 2003, providing the skeleton for the album. The remaining five tracks were recorded in the band's studio. The album is heavy on distortion, highlighted by "Jesus Christ Inca" and "End Is Near (Veranda)."
