Wiping the sweat from their brows and the snot from their noses,
Retarded takes their first step into the punk world on their eponymous debut. Looking at the cover, one would expect cocky
Ramones worship from this trio. But the music unveils a gruff-yet-sweet band with a
Social Distortion-esque edge. They won't win points for originality, but they don't really sound like they care, bashing away at some catchy three-chord anthems with little concern for anything besides rocking. The songs may blur together at times, but fans of poppy punk should find this to be a perfectly acceptable addition to the genre. ~ Bradley Torreano
